Sajid Javid on breaking Covid rules - why it is so easy to hate the Tories

Having voted Tory in 2019  for which I apologise, yet again  there are so many reasons to despise the party. But its approach to Covid rule-breaking, as demonstrated by Sajid Javid, is yet another one. I think of my father’s funeral, as only 30 could attend.

Just ten people in hospital with Omicron Covid, but how many were admitted with it?

As this wretched Government in England and the even more wretched one in Wales implement more and more draconian and ludicrous policies it emerges today that there are just 10 folks across the UK in hospital with the Omicron variant, yes that is the new strain of Covid that we are told will overwhelm the NHS. Yes, that NHS  – envy of the fecking world, let’s all bang pots in the street- where only 4% of beds are currently filled with Covid patients. But, of course, what we are not told is how many of the ten were admitted with Omicron or were there for some other reason and were subsequently diagnosed with Omicron.  This is madness – consider what the NSPCC says today about lockdown, something Michael Gove and most of the political and media classes are pushing for.

And the award for the worst expert Covid forecast goes to BBC, Guardian and C4 News darling Devi Sridhar

There is intense competition for this award with Professor Neil “pantsdown” Ferguson nominated for several spectacularly bad expert predictions. But the winner goes to the Indian American born head of Public Health at Edinburgh University, Dr Devi Sridhar. The media loves her as she ticks all the diversity boxes and her recommendations invariably focus on more state intervention, economic destruction and erosion of civil liberties. But her forecasting?  My cats could do better. What follows, an op. ed. in the wretched Guardian , is a world beater.

David Atherton v the wretched Sajid Javid, a posterboy for this useless Government

Some years ago I organised a conference on shares and investors in a £3 billion fraud I was exposing, Quindell, were doing threir darndest to ruin me as if that would protect theor investment. There were the usual death threats which the Police did nothing about becuase not being a celeb or an MP I am not worth protecting. They tried to bankrupt a restaurant I owned with bogus and dreadful reviews. They failed with that and I sold it at a profit. Then they tried to persuade Sajid Javid, who was the minister responsible for business and the media to pull out of the show.

What would Maggie have made of Boris and today’s Tories?

There is an opinion poll out today showing Labour leading the Tories whose support is collapsing. Why vote Labour Light when you can vote for the real thing? Or if you are a Thatcherite, as I am, how can you bring yourself to vote for a Tory party that would disgust and repel every bone in the body of the blessed Margaret. The Tory party of the serial liar Boris is corrupt with party donors paying for his home furnishings and picking up soft sinecures and lucrative PPE contracts but, as bad, it has abandoned so much of what Thatcher believed in, including basic common sense. My day job is exposing fraud. How can I vote for such obvious frauds? The article below first appeared in my free weekly Tomograph newsletter which you can sign up to receive HERE.

Tom Winnifrith Bearcast: Joke - what do you call the stupidest man in Ireland?

Before anyone reports me for a hate crime I am of Irish descentr and identify as Irish so can tell this joke. Actually the joke is Providence Resources (PVR) and Lansdowne Oil & Gas (LOGP). Tom Winnifrith Bearcast: Sajid Javid = unprincipled tosser on house prices & the gating date for Woodford's Income Focus Fund

I start with the case of a banker Andrew Tinney who “acted without integrity” but thinks he has done nothing wrong. Discuss. Then ex banker Sajid Javid who wants to ramp up the housing asset bubble by switching stamp duty from buyer to seller. Why do you think he is oing that? Finally to Neil Woodford’s Income Focus Fund and a discussion of why it should be gated now but when it will actually be gated.

WH Ireland: an open letter to Business Secretary Sajid Javid MP – will you help other pensioners who were mugged?

Over the past two weeks we have unearthed details of how senior WH Ireland (WHI)  Stockbroker John Molyneux (now suddenly retired) systematically stiffed those with discretionary accounts into duff penny stocks, usually corporate clients. So far one 78 year old who lost c£330,000 has been given compensation of £150,000 – but this may be the tip of the iceberg. So I have written to Business Secretary Sajid Javid asking him to intervene urgently.

Dear Sajid

Quindell and regulatory failure: an open letter to Business Secretary Sajid Javid MP

This week’s disclosures by Quindell (QPP)  have shown conclusively that the gargantuan body of work which started back in April 2013 by ourselves and colleagues at ShareProphets was on the button. Along the way there were allegations of securities fraud, accounting fraud, VAT fraud, insider dealing, market abuse in what is simply a staggering litany of revelations. The evidence was passed to the FCA, AIM Regulation, the SFO and others in a series of submissions going back to April 2014. Yet the FCA and AIM Regulation utterly failed to act on the evidence handed over. The FCA took until June of this year to open an investigation – we rather suspect because of a me-too response, once it was known that the SFO was involved and that the Financial Reporting Council (FRC) had been looking at Quindell. AIM has yet to confirm any actions beyond a spot of belated flag-waving.

Sajid Javid MP front runner to replace crazy Vince Cable – what delightful Quindell irony

The highlight of the election was seeing Vince Cable, the man who has predicted 17 of the last 4 recessions lose his seat. What joy that brought. My cheers could be heard across Kalamata Bay as crazy old Vince was soundly thrashed in Twickenham. Of course it is personal.

Vince Cable ignored the wholesale fraud at Quindell
